The scriptures leave no room for doubt or misunderstanding as to what life we have been given as believers. The Lord Jesus was definite in His mission- He came so that we might have life, and have it even more abundantly. Think about this for a moment. A super-abundant life is what Jesus offers you.
The abundant life does not merely refer to your heavenly inheritance as a child of God, but also, a life overflowing with fruitfulness and dominion here on earth. It is a life above anything that perishes, above the elements of the world and above Satan and all his operations.
As believers, we have been ordained to reign in life and not to be reigned over by the operations of evil (Romans 5:17). This is what the finished work of Christ avails us! We have been born into a life of overflowing peace, joy, blessings and the prosperity of God in all ramifications. Let this be your consciousness each day as you insist on living the abundant life that glorifies God.
