“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

John 4:15

People labour daily, so that they will be fruitful and make impact. Though this is good, our opening text reveals the key to fruitfulness. It is abiding with Him. Jesus says that when we abide in Him, we will bear fruits. Abiding in Him is what keeps you in alignment with Him. But what does it mean to abide in Christ?

To abide in Him is to abide in His word (John 15:7). When we spend time to study and meditate on the Word, we are abiding in Him. You cannot come into alignment with Him if you do not prioritize study and meditation on the Word.

Therefore, as you go about your day, give attention to your business and job and put in effort to make them work. But you ought to give more attention to the Word, because it is what ultimately determines your fruitfulness and success.

Prophecy 1: Receive grace to prioritize the Word of God in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may the Lord deliver you from every plan of the devil in Jesus’ name.
