“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

1 John 2:6

Some believers claim to abide in Christ, yet do not walk as He did. However, our opening text reveals that whoever says he abides in Him, ought to walk the same way He walked. What does it mean to walk as He did?

Firstly, to walk as He did is to live a holy life like He did. The scriptures show us that He was without sin. (1 peter 2:2).  Also, He lived His life doing the will of the Father. This is how we ought to live. We ought to live in holiness, pleasing the Father like He did.

Secondly, Jesus walked in signs and wonders and if we abide in Him, we also ought to manifest these same works that He did. (Acts 10:38). Therefore, you cannot claim to abide or be aligned with Him, when you live in sin or live a powerless life. If you say abide in Him, you also have to walk as He did on the earth.

Prophecy 1: Receive grace to do the mighty works that Jesus did.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may your testimony manifest speedily in Jesus name.
