BENEFITS OF THE FEAR OF GOD

Read in your own language

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psalm 25:14

Walking in the fear of God comes with immense and unquantifiable benefits. There is a separation that happens when you fear God because He makes his covenant with you. A few of these covenants are listed below.

One of the covenants you enjoy when you fear God is the covenant of mercy. When you fear God, you partake of His mercy. The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear Him (Psalm 147:11). Mercy means though you were deserving of judgment but He takes you out because you fear Him. When you revere God deeply you begin to experience His preservation because of His mercy. When others are being destroyed, by His mercy you will not partake of that destruction. You will not need to fear what others fear (Malachi 3:17).

He also makes with you a covenant of deliverance, when His fear is upon you (Psalm 33:18-19). Those who fear the Lord will enjoy His deliverance without looking for it. Yet another covenant God makes with them that fear Him is the covenant of desire (Psalm 145:19). This talks about God granting your desires even before you ask or pray. Here you do not pursue your desire, He brings it to you. All these and much more will you experience if you revere God as deeply as you should. Begin today. Glory to God!
