Regardless of how promising a person, brand or organization may seem, certain factors may limit its growth and success. One of such factors is reputation.

The Cambridge Dictionary defines reputation as the opinion that people, in general, have about someone or something, or how much respect or admiration someone or something receives, based on past behaviour or character.

This means that as you interact or do business with people daily, you are presented with a unique opportunity to craft your own reputation. By your actions and disposition, you can consciously paint a picture of who you are in the hearts of those around you, which in turn determines whether or not they will trust you with their time or resources in the future.

Just like our opening text shows us, a good reputation is worth more than precious ointment and great possessions (Prov. 22:1). In other words, your reputation is a currency – a form of capital that you can bank on as you set your sight on success.

Furthemore, it is one thing to earn a good reputation, and another to keep or guard it. A man may get some attention for achieving a feat once, but it is consistency of results and character that establishes his reputation.

Therefore, have you earned the trust of others as being competent and dependable in your field? Build on that reputation by ensuring that you deliver the quality you have been known for each and every time. This is how to secure and maintain favour before men, and excel where others are failing.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, pour our your Spirit upon the nation Myanmar, and cause the heart of its citizens to yearn for you, in the name of Jesus..
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, grant unto the leaders of Myanmar the grace to rely on you in all their decision making, in their name of Jesus.
