PROFIT FROM COMMITMENT

“Luke 16:12 - And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?”

One of the ways God tests to see if you are ready for a promotion is to watch your attitude or disposition towards the affairs or business of others. Your prayer or desire for promotion would always give birth to a test; a test of commitment. Do you labour whole-heartedly in another man’s business just as you would have done in yours?

Every time God gives you the opportunity to be a part of someone else’s business or work, it is a test of faithfulness. Thus, the right seed to sow in that instance is commitment. After all, our opening scripture makes it clear that God would only reward you with your own estate after you have been adjudged faithful in another man’s assignment.

A selfish attitude does not produce favour. Your selfless disposition towards the advancement of a course is an advertisement of your commitment which attracts favour from God and man. Thus, if you want favour in your working place, give yourself to your work. Sow commitment and favour would be yours. Amen!

Father in the name of Jesus,we ask that you will give the leaders of this nation, a heart for justice and truth, in Jesus name.

Prayer for Israel – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today, that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen. (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the church will become more conscious and fully involved in the ministry of reconciliation and evangelism, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will cause the heart of every unsaved soul in our city to be fertile and prepared to receive the Good News of the gospel that we bring to them, in Jesus name.

ABOUND IN LOVE

“1Thessalonians 3:12 - “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you”

Our scriptural text today makes it clear that it is God’s desire that we abound in love towards all men, irrespective of who they are and how they act. That may seem like a huge task because we may be used to loving with our emotions mostly, yet God demands that we display unconditional (Agape) love towards all men.

The Bible tells us in Rom 3:8 that God commended His love towards us while we were yet sinners. This means that He displayed His love towards us while we were undeserving and even unappreciative of it. This unconditional love is the kind of love we are expected to demonstrate to those whom He would bring our way.

To walk in love in such a way that pleases God will require the help of the Holy Spirit. So, ask Him to help you in discerning when, where, and how to demonstrate the love of Christ towards others as you step out today and every day.

EAT AT THE LORD'S TABLE

“Psalm 23:5 - “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."

In the midst of life's challenges and trials, it is comforting to know that as believers, we have a place at the Lord's table. Our opening text beautifully captures this truth, reminding us that God prepares a table before us, even in the presence of our enemies.

Just as a host carefully plans and prepares a feast for their guests, God has meticulously arranged this table for you. He knows your needs, desires, and struggles. He knows the battles you face and the enemies that seek to bring you down. Yet, in His infinite wisdom and love, He invites you to partake of His goodness and provision.

As you sit at the Lord's table, take a moment to reflect on the significance of this invitation. It is a reminder that God is with you, even in the midst of adversity. He is your protector, provider, and sustainer. He anoints your head with oil, symbolizing His blessing and favor upon your life. Your cup overflows with His abundant blessings, pouring out His goodness and grace.

Today, embrace this invitation to eat at the Lord's table. Approach it with gratitude, knowing that it is a privilege to partake of His goodness.
