In our opening text, we see Ruth making a statement of dedication to Naomi. She declared her commitment to go all the way with her, no matter what. This is what it means to be committed.

Commitment is loyalty, devotion, or dedication to a cause, person, or relationship. A committed man is one that remains dedicated to a cause or whatever is assigned to him regardless of the challenges he may face. He is steady, unwavering, and focused.

If you will succeed, this is one virtue you ought to imbibe. You ought to be dedicated and committed to making your relationships, business, or chosen endeavour work. This dedication reflects in how much effort, time, and resources you are willing to invest into them.

You ought to be willing to give all that is required to make them a success.

Commitment, therefore, is giving all that is required to make things work.

So, refuse distractions and maintain your focus.

Even if you make mistakes, learn from them, make corrections where necessary, but stay on track.
If you will stay committed to your relationships, plans, and goals, your success is sure.
