CONTEND FOR YOUR CROWN

“Revelations 3:11 – Behold I come quickly, hold fast that no man take thy crown..”

Everyone who competes in a race does so for the opportunity to win a prize. Yet, it is possible for one to run in a race and run in vain (Gal. 2:2). To run in vain is to fail to achieve the purpose for running in the race. Hence, the warning from the Lord as seen in our opening text today, is one that every believer must heed.

Whenever God gives an assignment, He gives a crown as a reward for that assignment. However, God also reserves others for that assignment, such that if the original recipient of the assignment becomes careless or loses focus and derails from that assignment, someone else may take over.

This means that the crown for that assignment would automatically be given to the one who takes over and finishes the assignment, as two people cannot win the crown for the same assignment. This is why it is important for you to discipline yourself to do all that is required to contend for your crown, lest your entire effort here on earth comes to nought.

Remember that God has a crown for you based on the assignment He has given you, and He does not want another man to take your crown. Therefore, you must be passionate about your assignment and be sure to maintain focus on the Lord, as this determines the end of your labour.

Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be diligent, focused and fruitful in my assignment, that no man may take my crown, in Jesus Name.

2. Father in the name of Jesus, raise unto yourself righteous leaders in every cadre of leadership in Peru, in Jesus Name.

Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favor in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the Body of Christ will stand firm and complete in all the will of God today, in Jesus name.

☄️ PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon our city today, and cause a fresh harvest of ripe souls to be added to the church, in the name of Jesus.
