Psalm: 112. 1
Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
There is a beginning to everything. To fear God begins from knowing what He likes and what He doesn’t, what appeals to Him and what He detests. There is one way to know all of that; through His Word and through the experience of those who have walked with Him in times past.
To develop fear for God, you must be hungry for His word. You must strive to find out how to walk with Him. You must desire to understand the ways of God, and His language. For instance, you cannot please God without faith (Heb 11:6). So, how do you get faith? How do you use faith to please God? These answers and more are all in the Word!
Go for the word today just like you go for your daily bread. Let it be a daily practice. Choose to never live your life apart from the word of God. That way, you will be positioning yourself to fear God and thus be blessed in this world and in the world to come! Glory to God in the Highest!
