Proverbs 13:23
“Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.”
When you work diligently, our opening scripture says that you would have much food. In other words, overflow is closely connected to a strong work culture. It behoves to say then that those who desire plenty must develop systems of continuous and productive labour.
It is not enough to complain about how difficult thing seem to be or how the economy is in a recession. God’s system cannot be broken; anyone who trains himself to work hard can enjoy plenty. A wise man once said “nothing works without a worker”. It’s time therefore to clarify what your goals are, and strategize to work diligently towards their fulfilment.
As one who is ordained by God to be fruitful, let readiness to work be your approach to life, and leave no room for laziness. Make every moment of your life count as you invest your energy, time and resources continuously into your dreams, your spiritual life and your life purpose. This way, you would have much goods in store, and an overflow when the year comes to a close. Halleluyah!
