 DO THE WORD

Joshua 1:8
 “that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

The study of God’s Word is only a mere intellectual exercise if it does not culminate in obedience to what is written in it. As seen in our opening text today, only those who observe to do all that is written in the Word can make their ways prosperous and enjoy good success.

Obedience to the Word of God is essential to growing in grace and experiencing divine momentum. In studying the Word therefore, your focus should be on discovering the principles that unlock God’s plans, purposes and provisions, so you may begin to apply them to every area of your life. This is the secret to all round success and continuous growth.

Therefore, set your heart on putting into practice every commandment of God as you would find in His Word, regarding offerings, worship, soulwinning and other such ordinances. As you begin to consciously put them into practice, you will begin to accelerate and attain a new speed for accomplishments in your life, career and business. Say Amen to that!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, by the power of your Spirit, help me to be a doer of your Word every day, that I may rise onto new levels in every area of my life, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SOUTH SUDAN
South Sudan is the world’s newest country. The nation was born in a great spirit of unity, happiness, and hope. Thank God for freedom from the long, painful domination by the north Sudan which is now mainly Arab and Muslim, while South Sudan is mainly Black and Christian.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the spirit of unity in which this nation was born will continue to keep the nation from violence and wars in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the leaders who are unsaved, and we ask that they experience the majesty of your power and thereby surrender to your Lordship, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
ather in the name of Jesus, we pray that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church in this city, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will cause the veil of darkness over the eyes of the unsaved in our city to be broken today, so that they may see the light and receive salvation, in the name of Jesus!
