Imagine living in a zone where arrows fly by day, and terrors roam by night, such is the hostility of the environment the enemy creates around a believer in an attempt to bring him or her down. Yet, it is amazing how the LORD keeps those who trust in Him safe from all the fiery darts and attacks of the enemy.

Our opening text reminds us of the promise that God offers to those who seek Him. In His Presence, we are hidden from the plots and schemes of wicked men and kept safe from accusing tongues. We are sheltered, protected, and preserved regardless of the enemy’s efforts when we abide in His presence through fellowship.

God’s presence is your sanctuary, it is your fortress in times of trouble and your refuge in times of storm. It is the place where you can find rest for your weary souls and strength for your tired bodies every day. It is the place where you can find peace in the midst of chaos and hope in the midst of despair.

Therefore, as you set out to fellowship with the Father every day, be reminded that you are safe in His Presence. As you seek the Lord today, through the study of the word, in prayer and worship, you are entering into His presence and stepping into the shelter He has prepared for you. That is your place of refuge.
