 GAIN MOMENTUM BY FAITH

2Thessalonians 1:3
 “We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;”

Having momentum, is likened to having an object moving at a fast pace because of an applied force. It easily rolls over obstacles and keeps moving. In the same way, when a believer begins to gain momentum by the Spirit, obstacles appear as nothing, and the future looks bright.

As a believer, your spiritual momentum increases just as your faith grows. Our opening scripture shows that as the faith of the Thessalonian church grew exceedingly, their momentum also grew resulting in their preaching of the word with power, increased presence of the Holy Spirit and a strong confidence in God. The more you grow in faith therefore, the greater momentum you are able to operate by.

A stunted faith is a stunted momentum, and a stunted momentum delivers defeat. Therefore, make a commitment to focus on spiritual exercises that grow your faith. Choose to increase and maintain your spiritual momentum and then nothing will be able to stand against you successfully. Hallelujah!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, cause my faith to flourish in you this week, that I may gain the momentum that you have ordained for me, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SOUTH SUDAN
South Sudan is the world’s newest country. The nation was born in a great spirit of unity, happiness, and hope. Thank God for freedom from the long, painful domination by the north Sudan which is now mainly Arab and Muslim, while South Sudan is mainly Black and Christian.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we come against every hindrance of the enemy against the spread of the gospel in this nation and the nations around it, in Jesus name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that more Christians will come into power to serve as a tool in propagating the Gospel in the land, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the church will grow to the fullness of the stature of Christ, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that as we go out to preach the Gospel, that You will cause more hearts to be willing and opened to receive our message, in Jesus name.
