GIFT OF DISCERNING OF SPIRITS

Read in your own language

to another discerning of spirits 1 Corinthians 2:10

The world that we live in has so many fakes, pure evil dressed and paraded as light. Many people in their quest for deliverance have fallen prey to demonic operations. The enemy has gotten away with a lot of demonic manifestations in some churches because the gift of discerning spirits was not functioning in the leadership. This kind of spiritual ignorance has the possible ability to destroy a believer if their eyes are not opened to the truth of God’s word.

The gift of discernment is the divine ability to see into the realms of the Spirit and gain insight into the spirit that motivates human beings whether good or evil. But the human senses cannot explore or gain access to this, it takes the HolySpirit in the life of a believer to function in this gift. This is not mere discernment, as we can discern things by the Spirit, which means to know things, but this applies to the discernment of Spirit beings only. This includes God, angels, demons, and the human spirit. An example can be found in Acts 13: 9-12; where Apostle Paul discerned the spirit in Elymas the sorcerer.

The gift of discernment of spirits enables you to see what others cannot see. It is a sure way of evaluating the motive of people despite how they appear, what they are saying, and who they claim to be. You must therefore desire, pray, and accept this gift so that you can prosper and function according to God’s purpose and plan for your life and that of the church also. Glory to God!

Prophecy 1: May your eyes be opened to see in the realms of the Spirit in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may the blessings of God be seen in your life in Jesus’ name.

South Africa

The legacy of apartheid continues to impact the nation. Despite progress in some areas, inequalities and injustices of the past continue to shape the future. There is still the need for much reconciliation among all races. Rape and violent crime rates are alarmingly high. The proliferation of illegal firearms, poverty, desperation, and lack of justice fuels hopelessness and anarchy.

Y: We are praying that the church will remain a force and a voice in the nation.

Startup Prayer: Dear Father, may the gift of discerning spirits rest on me in Jesus’ name.
