GIVE GOD YOUR BEST
Scriptural Text: Genesis 4:4
“And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:”
What difference does it make when what we offer to God is in the same category as what we give to men? What honour is there in giving to Him from our left overs or as a product of after-thought? Surely, the Lord has no pleasure in this.
There has to be a distinction, both in the quality of our substance and the manner with which we offer them to God. Abel did it right, offering to God from the firstlings of his flock rather than bringing the just what he could lay his hands upon.
This is honour, and little wonder then why the Lord had respect unto his own offering at the expense of Cain.
This season as you honour God with your firstfruits, see to it that you set apart the best part of what He has blessed you with.
Whether it be the first of your regular income or the first part of your increase, let your oblation be the best you can give, because He is a Great King, and He deserves the best of you. May His blessings rest on you as you do so. Amen!
🙏 Startup Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, give me the grace to honour you with my best with every opportunity to give unto you, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER FOR A NATION - SOUTH AFRICA
The legacy of apartheid continues to impact the nation despite progress in some areas, inequalities and injustices of the past continue to shape the future. There is still the need of reconcilation among all races. Race and violent crime rates are alarmingly high. The proliferation of illegal firearms, poverty, desperation, and lack of Justice fuels hopelessness and anarchy.
Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the spirit of violence - both physical and sexual in the nation South Africa will be bound under the authority of Christ, in Jesus name.
Prayer for the leaders:
Father in the name Jesus, grant unto the leaders the spirit of discernment to distinguish between wrong and right counsel from its advisors in Jesus name.
🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( Psalms 122-6 )(Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH:
Father in the name of Jesus, baptize the church afresh with the Spirit of grace and truth, that the body of Christ will be strengthened to walk in the unity of faith, in Jesus name.
💒PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for the grace to intercede for our nation. Give us a burden for the lost souls in our cities oh lord, in Jesus name.
