GIVE THANKS

Read in your own language

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: Colossians 4:2

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.”

Many a time, we are quick to make requests from God in the place of prayer, yet also quick to forget giving thanks to the Lord when those prayers have been answered. This is an erroneous practice among many today.

Our opening scripture shows us that thanksgiving should not be just an addition to prayer, rather, it is and should be an integral part of every prayer. This is because, thanksgiving completes the circle of prayer and without thanksgiving, prayer is never complete. This means that we must give thanks as much as we pray. Glory to God!

Thanksgiving is very important because, what you thank God for, He multiplies and protects. Thanksgiving is a declaration that God is the Source of your blessings. Therefore, the more you thank Him, the more you experience His abundance and multiplication ability in your life. Halleluyah!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Dear Father, give me a grateful heart, help me to be thankful for everything in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH

We pray and declare that the body of Christ will have one mind; that they speak with one voice, mission and purpose on earth in Jesus name.

PRAYERS FOR NATIONS LEADERS(COMOROS)

There are severe restrictions on Christians. Evangelism is forbidden, and those who convert to
Christianity can expect severe reprisals from the community and from their own family. Harassment and persecution have risen in frequency and intensity in recent years.

1. We are praying that Christians will be distinguished in their work places and wherever they go.
2. Dear Father, grant the leaders the grace to face unique challenges regarding political unrest, financial crisis, law enforcement, racial division and so on. wisdom and discernment to balance justice and mercy.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL

Father in the name of Jesus, we break every stronghold keeping the people in our city bound to darkness, we set them free by the power of the Holy Ghost.
