GIVE THANKS

Scriptural Text: Psalms 97:12
“Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.”

It’s the last day of August, a good time to reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout the month.

Our opening text today talks about thanking Him for His Holiness and rejoicing for the gift of righteousness. Wow! So those are enough reasons to thank Him? Yes!

How often we think, ‘Oh, I would have danced and given God a big seed if only I had gotten that contract’; or ‘how I wish I were already married’ etc.

But unknown to us, these paralyzing thoughts of ‘what ifs’ and ‘how I wish’ are Satan’s strategy for blinding us to the faithfulness of God, stealing our worship, and robbing us of the attendant blessings of thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving heals, restores and makes whole (Luke 17:19). So, what would you rather have? Regret and complaints or the blessing of giving thanks?

Therefore, take time out now and begin to thank the Lord for the breath in your nostrils, the salvation of your soul and your place with Christ in His Kingdom (Col. 1:12-13).

Let the joy of gratitude well up in your soul as you bless the Name of the Lord, as this is profitable for you.

🙏 Startup Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your faithfulness towards me throughout the month of August, and I bless your Name because you are worthy of my praise, in Jesus Name.

🏴PRAYER FOR A NATION: PARAGUAY
Paraguay's government promotes religious freedom and most of the population is Roman Catholic,

but because of its location in the center of South America, Paraguay has become involved in the crime of larger surrounding countries like Brazil and Argentina.

Economically, many of its people live below the poverty line.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon the nation Paraguay, and cause the power of crime and superstition to be broken in the land, in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the leaders: :
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you cause government leaders to embrace righteousness in place of corruption in the nation, in Jesus Name.

🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( Psalms 122-6 )(Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.

💒PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Dear Father, we pray for the body of Christ, we ask that you will raise men and women who will contend for the unity of faith in all places and at all times, in Jesus name.

☄️PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that your revival fire will rest upon the hearts of men and women in our cities, thus leading to a widespread of the message of the cross to all the nations of the earth in Jesus name.
