GOD DELIGHTS IN YOUR OBEDIENCE

Read in your own language

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. Luke 5: 4-5

Our obedience is actually a show that we truly know God (1 John 2:3). When God’s children obey their Heavenly Father, He is glorified. Jesus throws more light on this in Matthew 5:16 when He said “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Also in our scriptural verse today, Apostle Peter displayed obedience which was really remarkable because Jesus’ instruction was counter-intuitive. Peter was a fisherman that was skilled in fishing but He and his partners had toiled all night without result. They had even given up for that day and were already washing their nets. Yet, Peter, against all odds and logic, chose to obey Jesus’ instruction to cast his net, and in so doing recorded a great catch of fish. His obedience opened the door to a miracle which ultimately glorified God.

God loves it when we can obey Him even when it does not seem to make any sense. He loves to be glorified by our obedience. Therefore, choose obedience any time, any day. Halleluyah!

Prophecy 1: Receive grace to act in obedience to the word even though it contradicts human reasoning in Jesus name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you be surrounded by your helpers in Jesus name.
