GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT

Read in your own language

SCRIPTURAL TEXT:
“And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4: 30

The Holy Ghost is the person behind the office, God; He has a personality. He is so gentle and by virtue of that He can be hurt.
One of the common sin believers commit against the Holy Spirit is to grieve Him. When He is grieved, He will be present but inactive in a believer’s life.

Right after admonishing us not to grieve the Holy Ghost, the scriptures reveal the things that grieve the Holy Spirit in the verses following our opening scripture (Ephesians 4:31-32). Things like bitterness, wrath, strife, anger, clamour, evil speaking and all malice. These things grieve the Holy Spirit and deactivate His presence in our lives.

To have a sweet, continuous fellowship with the HolySpirit, the Word teaches us to get rid of such attitudes and give them no place in us. The armour of light cannot be activated without the Holy Ghost. Therefore, repent today in any way you have grieved the Spirit and let Him flood your heart with the light of God words.

TO ACTIVATE THE WORD IN YOU TODAY, CARRY OUT ALL THE ACTION POINTS (A – I) SEQUENTIALLY:

B.PLAN TO DO THIS TODAY IN RESPONSE TO TODAY’S TEACHING:
Are you guilty of some of the things that grieve the Holyspirit, spend more time fellowshipping with the word and ask the lord to help you overcome them.

C. SPEAK THESE WORDS OVER YOUR LIFE CONTINUOUSLY TODAY:
I decree and I declare that the presence of the lord is my dwelling place

D.STARTUP PRAYER:
Dear Father, I repent in any way I have grieved the Holyspirit, purge me of every filthiness of the flesh in Jesus name

E. REDEDICATE YOURSELF TO JESUS TODAY
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the privilege of a new day. I am especially grateful for the sacrifice of your Son Jesus on the cross for my redemption, and the privilege to walk with You day by day. I rededicate my life to you today, and declare my submission to Your Word and Your Will. I hereby cast off the works of darkness, and I put on the armour of Light, as I consecrate my body, soul and spirit to you today. Let me life bring you glory now and always. Amen.
