MAGNIFY GOD

“Psalm 69:30
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.

To magnify means to make something big; like a magnifying glass in a laboratory. When a thing is magnified, it does not become big in an actual sense; rather it becomes big to our sight. The Psalmist in our opening text shows us that thanksgiving magnifies God, which means that thanksgiving reinstates God to be bigger than our problem, situation or mindset.

Something can be very big yet not very visible. God is so big beyond what we could ever imagine, yet our doubt and fears can make us lose sight of Him, making Him almost invisible. But when we give God thanks, we magnify Him; making Him more visible to us than our situation or challenges.

Satan’s main aim of choking us with challenges is to take our attention from God and make us lose sight of His ability. He wants his lies to be the focus of our hearts, but praise be to God that we can defeat this strategy always through thanksgiving. Glory to God!

Dear Father, thank for the revelation of your Word today. Help me to magnify you always in Thanksgiving, in Jesus name

PRAYER FOR A NATION -SERBIA
18% are unreached with the Gospel. Due to past wars, millions were uprooted and became refugees or internally displaced. The trauma has opened the hearts of the people to the Gospel especially the young people.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the Church in this nation, that they will be actively involved in reaching out to the refugees and internally displaced persons with the love of Christ, in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will raise righteous legislators who will make laws that will favour the cause of the Gospel in Serbia, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for strength in our inner man to walk in love and unity as one body of Christ in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for a mighty revival in our cities and environs, that many will encounter the Lord Jesus, and surrender to Him today, in Jesus Name.
