RENEW YOUR DESIRE FOR GOD

“Psalm 63:1 – “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”

God wants nothing more than to have a closer relationship with man. We were created to have unhindered fellowship with Him and we were not designed to be apart from Him or to live without His Presence. And even though sin and the things of this world constantly seek to draw our focus away from Him, it is important for us to consciously and deliberately seek after Him like David says in our opening scripture today. One important way to do this is through fasting.

Primarily, fasting is a way of making spiritual investment or sacrifice for a spiritual gain. It involves voluntarily going without food or any other regularly enjoyed benefit in order to focus on your spirit and turn your undivided attention to God. In fasting, we remind ourselves that though we need food and other forms of refreshments to live on the earth, we need God more that we would ever need food.

Thus, when you acknowledge through fasting that you need the Lord to live, you can bring alive that desire for more of Him in your life. So, remember to fast often to renew your desire for Him, setting out time to seek Him in worship and unbroken fellowship. Halleluyah!

Father in the name of Jesus, ask that you will help the leaders of Rwanda to seek after you, that they may receive wisdom to build the nation according to your master plan.

Prayer for Israel – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today, that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen. (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the spirit of grace and supplication will rest upon the church today, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we bind the spirit of the air that operates through satellite and television to promote sin and wickedness.
