SANCTIFY THROUGH THANKSGIVING

“1Timothy 4:3
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

The Apostle Paul in our opening text addressed a false doctrine that forbade people from eating certain kinds of meat. This still happens in various parts of the world today where people forbid certain animals to be eaten. However, from the beginning it was not so, as God made all animals and called them good (Gen 1:24). Thus, all meats can be eaten if received with thanksgiving by those who know the truth.

Thanksgiving separates us and the object of our thanksgiving unto God. It is a declaration that the one being ‘thanked’ is the source of the object of your thanksgiving.
When we pray the prayer of thanksgiving, we are declaring that God is the owner or source of the object for which we are giving thanks.

Thus, through thanksgiving, you can consciously begin to sanctify a situation or a thing in your life unto God, making it good and perfect, because only good and perfect gifts come from Him. (James 1:17). Thus, you can set apart or sanctify your blessings as you express your heartfelt gratitude for the privilege of receiving them from Him in the first place. Hallelujah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION -SERBIA
18% are unreached with the Gospel. Due to past wars, millions were uprooted and became refugees or internally displaced. The trauma has opened the hearts of the people to the Gospel especially the young people.

Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for effective teaching ministries to come into this nation, that the teaching of the Word will cause the people to handle traumas from the past.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will give the leaders of this nation, the wisdom to make laws that will protect the freedom of the people so they can live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will use Christian authorities to inspire peace and unity in the body of Christ, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for greater wisdom, strategy, and resources that will enable us reach more people in this city, in Jesus name.
