SHOW GRATITUDE TO OTHERS
“Ephesians 6:2-3
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. ”
Gratitude does not only end with God. It is important to learn to appreciate specific people who have played a vital role in your life. This group of persons, according to our opening text today, are referred to as ‘fathers and mothers’.
Honour is a system of God. The cycle of your thanksgiving will not be complete until you honour your parents. This appreciation should not be done with just words of mouth but also with substance, irrespective of the size and the level of possession themay already have.
Remember that thanking fathers and mothers completes the circle of thanksgiving. So when you thank the LORD but fail to appreciate men, you cancel the effect of God’s Word by such a tradition. Rather, as you thank the LORD, set yourself up to enjoy the fullness of His blessing by creating the opportunity to appreciate other key players in your life.

Prayer for the day:
Dear Father, help me to honour all those you have used to bless me this year in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION -SEYCHELLES
Christianity is the largest religion in Seychelles, with Roman Catholicism being its largest denomination. However today, one can observe growth in Evangelical Protestant churches.
Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for effective teaching ministries to flood this nation, that many will be taught the way of the Lord, in Jesus name.
Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for all those that are unsaved among the leaders of this nation, and we ask that You will show them your salvation, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray against the spirit of bitterness, and unforgiveness in the church, help us to walk in love, forgiveness and unity in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for all missionaries around the world, that they will be saved from wicked and unreasonable men, in Jesus name.
