TEACH THE WORD

1Timothy 1:13
“Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.”

It is interesting to hear the Apostle Paul talk about his past life as seen in our opening text today. Interestingly, he mentions that his life of sin was largely due to his ignorance of the Truth of God’s Word. We can conclude therefore that his life was transformed when he began to receive revelation of the undiluted Word of God.

There are many persons around us who live in sin and have not received salvation because they are ignorant. We must resolve to spend time teaching them the word, so that they can receive understanding that might lead to their salvation. Even more, many who are zealous about the things of God are without due revelation or understanding of what they do. Such was the case of Apollos; though he was a preacher, he was ignorant of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It took the kind gesture of Aquila and Priscilla who expounded the scriptures to Him. (Acts 18:24-26) Glory to God!

Everywhere around you, there are those whose salvation and spiritual growth depends on them receiving the truth of God’s Word. Strengthen your resolve therefore to teach God’s Word wherever you find yourself. The liberation of many from the grip of deception and ignorance depends on it. Halleluyah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION -SIERRA LEONE
Over half of its population are Muslims. During the 20th century, Islam grew from 10% to over 60% of the population. The conflict in the nation in the past has left many traumatized: rape victims, victims from mutilation and maiming and former child soldiers.

Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for more missionaries to flood this nation, that will bring the light of the Gospel to the people, in Jesus name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that for the leaders that their eyes will be opened to know the truth, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the church will stand firm and perfect in the will of God, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS & REVIVAL

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for divinely orchestrated appearances from the Lord Jesus to the unsaved souls in our nation, that they will see Him and believe on Him, in Jesus name.
