THE RIGHT HEART POSTURE

Psalm 51:17 KJV
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”

Sometimes, we tend to focus more on the outward expressions of our devotion to God than the posture of our heart. We pray, we fast, and we sow our seeds when required, but while these are important aspects of our spiritual life, they must all be rooted in the foundation of a contrite heart.

Our opening text highlights that the sacrifices God truly delights in are a broken spirit and a contrite heart, a heart that shows complete dependence on Him.

Brokenness before God brings spiritual breakthrough; it leads you to a place where you can hear from God. It is in this state of humility and repentance that you can genuinely hear God and align your life with His will. When you come to God with a broken and contrite heart, acknowledging your insufficiency and your need for His mercy, you open yourself up to His restorative power.

Reflecting on this understanding, examine your heart. Are you living in humility and brokenness before God? Are you allowing Him to revive and restore you? Choose to prioritize a broken and contrite heart, knowing that God does not despise such sacrifices but rather, He draws near and responds with the gift of His presence.

DAILY PRAYER GUIDE

 Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask for grace to live in humility before you. Give me the grace to seek and depend on you always in Jesus Name.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for the spirit of humility and repentance to sweep across the nation of Albania so that they may begin to recognize their insufficiency and totally depend on You in Jesus Name.

Father, we pray that you draw the leaders of this nation to yourself and cause them to know and fulfill Your purposes in Jesus Name.

Prayer for Israel
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask that you will heal their land and cause their people to be prosperous in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the Unity of the Church

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will help us to be fruitful in every good work and to increase in Your knowledge in Jesus Name.

Prayer for Souls/Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for every unsaved soul around the world that you would free them from the slavery of sin and you will liberate them with the truth of your word in Jesus Name.
