SACRIFICE, AN ACT OF HONOUR
Proverbs 3:9
“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase”
Sacrifice is a revered act that operates on an honor system. When you make an exceptional effort for someone, it signifies the significance of that individual. Consequently, offering a sacrifice to God is an honorable act that acknowledges His special place in your life.
The Bible illustrates how sacrifices were presented to God as a means of expressing reverence and gratitude. These acts of sacrifice reflected the profound value and importance of the individuals’ relationship with God.
Similarly, when you present your sacrifice to God, you are declaring that He is deserving of your utmost devotion and that He holds the highest priority in your life.
Therefore, as you offer your sacrifice, remember that it is an act of honoring God and affirming His exceptional position in your life.
