BENEFITS OF REVIVAL

Joel 2:28-‬29
“ And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”

A revival is not just a one-off event or one in a lifetime occurrence. Every time the Spirit of God is poured out, there is a renewal and awakening in the heart of those who receive Him, which results in a sustained willpower against earthly distractions, a strong passion to pursue the Lord, and the compassion to pursue souls.

The outpour of God’s Spirit is an integral part of any revival. Our opening text today shows us that His outpour upon all flesh will activate spiritual gifts upon the young and old, bond and free. Perhaps the greatest benefit of revival would be the eternal impact it has, because it leads to the salvation of souls, bringing many into a long-lasting relationship with Christ, and securing our eternal destiny in heaven. Even among believers, a true revival births love, which in turn unifies the brethren and strengthens the bond of fellowship within a community.

Therefore, earnestly desire the outpour of God’s Spirit upon your life, home, community, city and nation at large, not only for the benefits it brings unto you, but also for the Glory it brings to God. Hallelujah!

DAILY PRAYER GUIDE

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I ask that you will pour out your Spirit upon my home today, and cause the fruits of revival to be evident in and around us in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TURKEY
Since up to 98 percent of the population are Muslims, Christians are a minority religion in Turkey. During the ottoman period, a system of tax was implemented taking 50 percent of earnings from non-Muslims as opposed to a small amount from Muslims. This resulted in a large number of peasants converting their faith to Islam.

Prayer for the nation:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for a deep conviction of sin, spiritual brokenness and a holy Fear of God to rest upon the people of this nation, that we may experience a mass salvation of souls, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for the leaders:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will raise up righteous leaders in the government of this land, who will fear you and submit totally to your Spirit, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, cause the spirit of oneness and unity to rest upon believers in the Body of Christ today, that we may live in unity and harmony, fulfilling your purpose, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father, we ask for a genuine burden of intercession to rest upon the church, so that we may passionately intercede to see the lost saved in our city and environs, in the name of Jesus.
