REACH YOUR WORLD

Proverbs 11:25
“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”

Our opening text today beautifully captures the refreshing power of reaching out to those around us. To reach out means to make contact with something or someone. It starts with an understanding that life is not all about you, and that there are people around you who are faced with situations in their lives that they cannot explain. Hence, the LORD seeks to reach and impact them through you.

One may ask, but there are too many people out there, how, and where do I begin? God expects you to begin from where you are. A simple act of kindness to a neighbour, a listening ear to a colleague, or a word of encouragement from scripture to a friend – these seemingly small gestures can be the ripples that start a wave of positive change.

Therefore, embrace the practice of reaching out, becoming an extension of the hand of Christ in touching individuals, and groups of persons that the Lord brings around you daily. As you water the lives of others this way, the Lord will water you also and cause you to flourish and prosper in all that you do. Glory to God!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be faithful in reaching my world daily to the glory of your name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TANZANIA
Christianity is the largest religion in Tanzania, with a substantial Muslim minority. Current statistics on the relative sizes of various religions in Tanzania are limited because religious questions have been eliminated from government census reports since 1967. However, estimates published by the Pew Research Center in 2012 indicated that 61.4% of the population were Christian, 35.2% Muslim, 1.8% practiced traditional folk religions and 1.4% were unaffiliated.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will pour out your Spirit upon the nation, and cause the veils of darkness to be ripped off the eyes of the people, so that many will see and come to the Light.

Prayer for the leaders:

Father in the name of Jesus, cause the spirit of wisdom to rest upon the leaders of the nation Tanzania, that they may depend on you and thus lead the nation in the direction of your purpose, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the church will not lose its first love in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for purchasing salvation for us on the cross of Calvary through the death, burial, and resurrection of your son. We pray that many will discover this love and surrender to your Lordship in their lives, in Jesus’ name.
