THE POWER OF REPENTANCE

Acts 3:19
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;.”

One biblical example of the power of repentance is the story of the ‘Prodigal’ son in Luke 15:11-32. After squandering his inheritance, the son realizes his folly and decides to return to his father, repenting of his sins. The father welcomes him back with open arms, illustrating God’s willingness to forgive those who sincerely repent.

Repentance goes beyond mere feelings of remorse for our sins; it is a conscious choice to recognize our wrongdoing, seek forgiveness, and commit to living in accordance with God’s will. In genuine repentance, you acknowledge your sins, make a conscious effort not to go back to them and totally depend on the grace of God to live a life pleasing to Him.

Thus, realize that it is through repentance that you lean into God’s love and mercy. Therefore, decide not to succumb to the lies of the devil anymore by living in guilt or withdrawal from the Presence of God, but be boldly to come before His throne of mercy, confessing your inadequacies, so that you may obtain grace and find a time of refreshing. Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to experience a time of refreshing and revival as I walk in repentance and dependence on you today, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TAJIKSTAN
Christianity is a minority religion in Tajikistan. Church services are often disrupted and Christians risk harassment and arrest for holding private prayer meetings or possessing ‘illegal’ religious material

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for the outpour of your Spirit upon this nation, that will bring about the effective entry and distribution of the Gospel in printed format, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for the leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the legislators will enact laws that will support the airing of more Christian contents in the land, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you baptize the church today with the Spirit of love and oneness in the pursuit of one purpose, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father, we ask that we receive supernatural wisdom for soul winning that we may be led by the Spirit daily leading to harvest of souls into the kingdom, in Jesus Name.
