ABOUND IN LOVE

“1Thessalonians 3:12 – “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you”

Our scriptural text today makes it clear that it is God’s desire that we abound in love towards all men, irrespective of who they are and how they act. That may seem like a huge task because we may be used to loving with our emotions mostly, yet God demands that we display unconditional (Agape) love towards all men.

The Bible tells us in Rom 3:8 that God commended His love towards us while we were yet sinners. This means that He displayed His love towards us while we were undeserving and even unappreciative of it. This unconditional love is the kind of love we are expected to demonstrate to those whom He would bring our way.

To walk in love in such a way that pleases God will require the help of the Holy Spirit. So, ask Him to help you in discerning when, where, and how to demonstrate the love of Christ towards others as you step out today and every day.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – POLAND
After suffering the loss of one-quarter of its population during WWII, Poland struggled to avoid falling into financial ruin under the direction of the Soviet Union. There is a desperate need for evangelical witnesses, with 90% of the municipalities having no church, while Pagan, Wiccan, and New Age religions are gaining followers.

Prayer for the Nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we break every hold of the devil over this nation that is keeping the people from seeing the light; we pray that their eyes be opened in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for the Leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, give unto the leaders of Poland the humility of heart to return to the Lord, and to seek His guidance and leadership for the peace and prosperity of their nation, in Jesus Name.

Prayer for Israel – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today, that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen. (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will help the church to walk in love and oneness; and we come against every spirit of disunity, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon our city today, and cause a revival of soulwinning to be birthed in the Church, that we may reap a bountiful harvest of souls, in the name of Jesus.
