A test is a procedure intended to prove and establish the quality, performance, or reliability of a person or thing. Our opening scripture today tells us to expect several of such in the forms of temptations and trials because it all works out for our own good.

In our walk with God as believers, our faith is tested and tried each time we are on the verge of a new phase/level in our lives. Sadly, however, many believers do not possess the consciousness that they must pass certain tests to secure God’s approval for their next level. So, they complain, grumble, and sometimes quit in the face of adversity, supposing that their trial is working against their success.

Failure to identify or recognize your test situation leaves you in a careless state where you take things for granted. And, those who continuously fail their tests will experience stagnation whereas God intended for them to overcome and take possession of their new level.

Therefore, each time a trying situation comes your way, see it as an opportunity to put your faith to work, by speaking the Word, engaging praise, releasing your sacrifice, and taking that step that the Holy Ghost would lead you to take. As you do this, your faith will emerge stronger and more productive to the glory and praise of God (1Peter 1:7), and you will secure God’s approval for your next level.

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION –  NIGERIA
Just a little above half of its population are Christians. 13% are unreached with the Gospel, especially in the northern part. Missions vision which was birthed in the 1970’s has resulted in a great revival in nations as Nigerian missionaries is helping lead the way for Africa-wide mission mobilization.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon the nation Nigeria, and cause the heart of the unsaved to yearn for you in the name of Jesus.

2. Prayer for the leaders: Dear Father, we pray that the leaders of Nigeria will have a true heart of compassion for the poor and less privileged in the nation, in Jesus name.

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that your light will cover our nation, that in all places men, women, and youths will begin to hunger for you in their hearts, in Jesus Name.
