The secret to moving out of the old into a new experience in every season is positioning oneself for the outpouring of the Spirit of God.

Recall the experience of the disciples of Jesus who waited in the Upper Room to receive the outpouring of the Spirit. One moment, they were ordinary people waiting in fellowship, and the next, they became bold and empowered witnesses who reaped a harvest of souls for the Lord (Acts 2). What a transformation!

Also, as our opening text today shows us, fruitfulness is a direct result of the outpouring of God’s Spirit. A life or situation that has been termed a wilderness or unfruitful can be transformed into a fruitful and desirable one when the Spirit of God is poured out upon that person or situation.

Therefore, it does not matter how long fear, doubt, or lack has kept you in a difficult situation, you can get back on track by paying attention to the Holy Ghost in this season, positioning yourself in fellowship with Him by praying in tongues. The more time you spend fellowshipping and praying in the Holy Ghost each day, the more you give Him access to water your life, make the crooked paths straight, and bring you into your fruitful place.
