The question of whether God can be seen is one that is hotly debated in many quarters. Some persons are of the opinion that God Almighty manifested himself physically in Bible times and can no longer be seen today. What is true however, is that many, because of their mindset that a mortal man cannot encounter or see God, have let their guards down, and no longer seek to see or encounter Him, because they have altogether doubted the possibility. This is a lie of the devil.

In our opening text today, we see that the children of Israel saw the LORD upon the Mount Sinai. Severally in scriptures also, we see that God manifested Himself unto people.

It is your destiny as a believer to have intimate fellowship with your God, which not only includes hearing His voice and being led by His Spirit, but also seeing Him. After all, nothing can be more intimate than being with Him and seeing Him face to face.

However, to see the Lord, one must walk in purity and be consecrated unto Him. This is why the Bible says that the pure in heart shall see God (Matt. 5:8). This is a non-negotiable requirement.

Therefore, the desire to see God is not enough, it is imperative that you live a life of daily consecration and holiness to position yourself to walk intimately with Him. This should be your ultimate pursuit.
