DO NOT INDULGE IN SIN.

Read in your own language

“Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”

JOHN 5:14

Looking at our scriptural text for the day, we see Jesus clearly instructing a man who had been healed to ensure he stays away from sin so he does not find himself in a worse condition. What does that say to you; it means that sin has the power to keep us in bondage, sickness, and disease.

Jesus has made the ultimate sacrifice for us and set us free from the power of sin but we also ought to abstain from it.  This is because sin gives Satan the right to afflict us. When we indulge in sin, we are opening a door for the power of sin to operate in our lives. Remember, he comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10)

Therefore, if you err or make mistakes, quickly ask the Lord to forgive and cleanse you but do not indulge it, lest a worse thing comes into your life.

Prophecy 1: Receive grace to overcome sin in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you be endowed with unusual strength in Jesus’ name.

Action Points

W: Make a decision to repent quickly if you err.

X: I decree and I declare that the presence of the Lord is my dwelling place.

South Sudan

South Sudan is the world’s newest country. The nation was born in a great spirit of unity, happiness, and hope. Thank God for freedom from the long, painful domination by the north Sudan, which is now mainly Arab and Muslim, while South Sudan is mainly Black and Christian.

Y: We are praying that the Gospel will prevail in the land and many will receive Jesus into their hearts.

Startup Prayer: Dear Father, I declare today that sin has no power in my life! Therefore, I refuse to indulge in it in Jesus’ name.
