ENGAGE IN REPENTANCE

Read in your own language

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Acts 26:20

We know already that we cannot separate effectual fervent prayers from true revival. Prayer is extremely important, and this is the reason the devil always seeks to attack our prayer lives. The greatest enemy of prayer is sin. It is Satan’s trick because it makes you lose your confidence and you begin to feel unworthy to approach God.

If you fall into any sin, you should run to God rather than run away from Him. God hates sin but God is not as concerned about your sins as He is about your repentance. We must repent when we fall short and not cover sins because even though salvation is fully purchased for us by the blood, repentance is not. It is our duty to repent before the Lord and present ourselves for cleansing by the blood of Jesus.

Many think that repentance is a mere confession, but it is not. Confessing your sins is the beginning of repentance but that is not all that there is about repentance. Repentance is changing the state of your mind. It is the renewing of your mind. The power of your prayer is limited by the level of your repentance, therefore be quick to repent so as to maintain your effectiveness in prayers. Glory to God!
