FASTING FOR FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH

Read in your own language

So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us- Ezra 8:23

The principle of fasting is one we must engage if we desire to enjoy the God kind of prosperity. This is because fasting has the ability to break through any stubborn limitation or challenge. All through scriptures, we see how men used the power of fasting to break through even the most difficult situations.

Our scriptural text today shows us the experience of Ezra. At this time, Ezra had obtained the king’s permission to go back and rebuild Jerusalem, but on their way, they encountered opposition and instead of seeking the help of the king, they decided to seek the Lord in a fast. After the fasting, the Lord heard their prayer and delivered them from the enemies of their prosperity. We also see in the book of Esther that Haman was against the prosperity of the people of God but by fasting and prayer everything changed in their favour.

Mirroring these experiences, it’s obvious that God has ordained you for all round increase and prosperity, and though there will always be oppositions or adversaries, you need fear any!. You can engage the power of fasting to silence the enemies of your prosperity just like Haman was silenced and the people of God prospered. If all you have tried seems to fail, you need to fast. It is also important that you fast with understanding, and engage in the right kind of fast. This is a way out of any predicament.
