Our opening text today highlights the necessity of having understanding. It instructs you to not only have wisdom, but also to get understanding. This is because you require understanding to operate wisdom, especially if you desire to succeed in your career or business.

For example, a man of understanding does not just work a job, he has an understanding of the inner workings of his job. And because of this understanding, he can migrate from just having a job to managing others or even becoming a provider of jobs. This is why you ought to prioritise gaining understanding.

For instance, how well do you understand your job, and your chosen career or your profession? Do you understand its inner workings or are you just an employee?

Being wise is not good enough. You need to get an understanding about what you do. This is what will bring you into favour and prominence.

Father in the name of Jesus, give me understanding, that I may live to the fullest of your purpose for me, in the name of Jesus.

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – MOZAMBIQUE
Mozambique is about 46% Christian, 32% Ethnoreligious, and 18% Muslim. Years of suffering has led many Mozambicans to seek spiritual answers, and many churches have been planted! Yet there remains a great need for training and discipleship, particularly among the pastors and leaders of these newly planted churches.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, give unto the Mozambicans the courage to seek you and call unto you in their distresses, in the name of Jesus.
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, give unto the leaders of Mozambique the grace to discern and execute your will in the nation, in Jesus Name.

🕍PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6) 
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen 

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
