But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1:22,25
A person who intends to receive the blessings of God must make up his mind to obey his commandments. As we see in our opening scripture, anyone who keeps the laws of God has automatically positioned himself to receive the blessings of God.
It is however important to note that it takes a conscious effort to obey God. Perhaps you have hesitated to obey God in the past due to your fear for man or fear of the consequences of your decision-it’s time to shake it off! You must remind yourself that God is supreme above all else and if He demands your obedience, it must be taken as a priority above every other feeling, person or thing.
In addition, you must remember that when you choose to obey the Lord, He blesses you. This is because obedience always leads to blessing. When you obey God’s instruction, He will reward you with a sense of peace and joy that compares to nothing this world has to offer. Therefore, set your priority to obey the Lord and watch Him work in your life.
Prophecy 1: May the blessings of God run over in your life in Jesus name.
Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you experience overflowing blessings in Jesus name.

W: When it comes to obedience to God, let nothing else count but how to please Him only.
