GOD’S DESIRE FOR YOU

Read in your own language

And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever. Genesis 6:3

God created man to have fellowship and a relationship with him, but man fell from grace by obeying Satan. After the fall of man, the Spirit of God left the scene and only came on special instances.  The air we now breathe is the result of his withdrawal. True air is not just made up of gases like Oxygen and Nitrogen- it is the Holy Spirit Himself. The fall of man brought death upon the earth (Romans 5:12).

For thousands of years, the Holy Spirit could only come upon men and empower them to carry out his assignment- men like David, Elijah, Gideon, and Samson, but He desired a deeper relationship with man like it was in the beginning. He desired, not only to be with man but to be in man. After thousands of years, Jesus re-introduced the ministry of the Holy Ghost in the Gospel of John (John 7: 37-39; 14:12-17). And before His departure, Jesus made a promise to his disciples about the coming of the Holy Spirit, who will teach them and guide them into all truth.

The words of Jesus meant that the Holy Spirit would come and dwell fully on the earth, in man. This was to be possible because of the new creation man. This man is different from the men in the world. The new creation is no longer a property of Satan. He belongs to the kingdom of God, enjoying diplomatic immunity. Jesus said, if you believe in him, the Holy Ghost will live in you, empower you, and will be with you forever. Therefore believe in Him and enjoy all these benefits.  Hallelujah!!!

Prophecy 1: May your eyes be opened to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you be favored everywhere you go in Jesus’ name.

South Africa

The legacy of apartheid continues to impact the nation. Despite progress in some areas, inequalities and injustices of the past continue to shape the future. There is still the need for much reconciliation among all races. Rape and violent crime rates are alarmingly high. The proliferation of illegal firearms, poverty, desperation, and lack of justice fuels hopelessness and anarchy.

Y: We are praying for lasting peace in South Africa.

Startup Prayer: Dear Father, help me to actively walk with the Holy Spirit daily in Jesus’ name.
