Desires are more than mere wishes; they have the potential to shape our lives. When they are grounded in righteousness and align with God’s will, then they become a powerful force that brings transformation and blessings into our lives.

Our opening text today reminds us that the first step in receiving from God is desire. This speaks of having a strong affinity, longing or inclination towards something, which later becomes a subject of our prayers. When we pray about what we desire with faith in our hearts, then we receive what we desire from God.

This exposes the reason why some do not receive from God. It is either they do not develop strong desires for the object of their prayer, or they do not even pray about their desires. Some others may pray without faith in their hearts and therefore fail to receive. However, when we pray with faith in our hearts about our desires, we have an assurance of being heard, and we receive our testimony.

Therefore, as you set out today, be diligent about aligning your desires to the Word, and in faith, make your requests known unto God in prayer. By so doing, you will enter into God’s provisions for you today and have a reason to testify!

Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be diligent in aligning my desires to your Word, and to have unwavering faith when I pray, so I may secure my testimony, in Jesus name.

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – OMAN
Due to the massive expatriate influence in Oman, people are free to practice varying faiths, and the government has even given land for places of worship. But, it remains illegal to share the Gospel with Muslims who make up about 90% of the population.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for an outpour of your Spirit upon Oman, that will cause a mighty harvest of souls into the Kingdom, in the name of Jesus.

2. Prayer for the leaders: Father, we pray that the leaders of Oman will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth in Jesus name.
