In the natural, certain environments encourage the breeding of specific organisms. For instance, you can hardly ever find mold in a dry and well-aerated environment, but they thrive in damp areas. Much in the same way, in the realms of the spirit, the state of your heart environment will determine what grows there.

Our scriptural text today shows us where God likes to be. He comes to those who rejoice, because He is attracted to an atmosphere of joy and faith (Psa. 22:3). On the other hand, an atmosphere of fear, worry, doubt, murmuring and complaining is very uninviting to God, which becomes automatically inviting to demons, since there can be no vacuum in the spirit. This is why you should strive to maintain your joy at all times as a believer.

Deliberately create an atmosphere of joy around you in praises and thanksgiving, knowing that this attracts the Presence of God and repels the devil and his works. Refuse fear, complaining or murmuring, choosing rather to praise God for His faithfulness and declare His word in the midst of challenges (Psa. 56:4).

Therefore, make up your mind today to keep an atmosphere of joy consistently no matter what you face. Set your heart on meditating on God’s faithfulness, so your mouth can be filled with His praises. As you keep your joy and worship the Lord this way, you will begin to attract the Presence of God and experience the manifestation of your desires.
