If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land- Isaiah 1:19

Obedience is a major requirement for living life to its fullest and as God intended it to be. However, this is one area of struggle for many. We see from our opening scripture that our willingness to obey God’s Word- either as revealed in scriptures or through His set authorities in our lives, affects how much of God’s blessings we can enjoy.

The instructions and counsel you receive from the Word is always a set up for answers. Obeying them releases the ability of of God in your life. In Isaiah 11, where the seven spirits of God are outlined, we see the Spirit of counsel and might paired together; revealing that it is obeying counsel that releases might. Again we see this at the Wedding in Cana, where Jesus gave counsel to the servants, to fill the waterpots with water. It was obedience to this counsel that activated the might of God which turned the water into wine. 

For every aspect of your life where you desire an overflow, there is a counsel of God in scriptures that you must attend to. God’s counsel for your overflow may also come to you through His set prophet, as we find numerously in scriptures. So, begin today to seek out the counsel of God on what you must do  in order to experience the best of God in any area of your life and when you know what to do, act on it without delay. Your obedience will open the doors of the overflow. Halleluyah!
