But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. Jeremiah 7:23
Obedience to God is promptness to do exactly what He tells you to do, with the right attitude and at the right time. Our scriptural text says, when you obey His voice, then He will be your God and all will be well with you. That means when you live in disobedience, it will be the complete opposite.
If God be for you, who can be against you? Ponder on this. When the reality of this truth dawns in your spirit, you will submit totally to God in obedience and it will be well with you. Having God on your side means you will live a life of constant victory, fearing nothing. David understood and lived this truth throughout his entire life, hence, he wrote in the Psalms, “The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6).
It is crucial to understand that God loves you and wants all to be well with you, but this cannot be until you surrender to Him in obedience. Having gotten the key to wellness, begin to practice a life of total obedience and it will indeed be well with you. Glory to God!
