REPENT FOR PRIDE.

Read in your own language

“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”

 Proverbs 16:18

Our opening scripture shows us the danger of pride. It is the prelude to a fall. Pride can be described as a high or inordinate opinion of one’s own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, etc.

Pride may manifest by the way of craving compliments or entertaining an overly critical view of yourself. It also manifests in the exaltation of oneself above others, looking down on others, building confidence in your own ability, trusting in your own wisdom, arrogance towards authority, confidence in the gift of the Spirit more than you the Giver, and confidence in money and what it can give.

However, God resists the proud man and it leads to destruction as our opening scripture reveals. You, therefore, need to think and meditate on every way you have walked in pride. Repent and ask the Lord to deliver you from every form of pride. Speak to Him now.

Prophecy 1: May the Lord deliver you from every form of pride in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may the plan of the devil continually fail in your life in Jesus’ name.

Action Points

W: Spend time to think about any form of pride in your life and ask the Holy Spirit to help you overcome it.

Sri Lanka

84% are unreached with the Gospel while the largest religion is Buddhism. Sri Lanka has suffered much in the past generation from bloody civil wars, which caused many to emigrate and over one million are displaced. Malnutrition, selective abortion, and child prostitution are on the rise in Sri Lanka.

Y: We are praying for a mighty revival in the land that as they turn to the Lord, there will be a mighty turn around in the lives of the people.

Startup Prayer: Dear Father, deliver me from pride that seeks to destroy my life and give me the grace to be humble.
