“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”

I Samuel 15:23

Disobedience refers to neglect or refusal to obey or a violation of a command or prohibition. It is the omission of that which is commanded to be done or the doing of that which is forbidden. Disobedience may also mean the breach of duty prescribed by the authority.

To be disobedient is to yield to self-will instead of surrendering to God and desiring His will in all things. Thus, to become disobedient is to sin or rebel against God.  Also, walking outside of God’s plans and purposes for your life or deliberately yielding to our weakness, is trading into disobedience.

Furthermore, not doing what you know to be true and right or refusing to act on the truth you know, or rejecting the counsel and voice of the Spirit because of your own fleshly desire and lust, is disobedience.  

Disobedience is caused by rebellion and distrust of God. You, therefore, need to repent on behalf of you and your family. Today, plead guilty on behalf of you and your lineage for trading into every form of disobedience. Pray now.

Prophecy 1: Receive grace to obey the Lord in all things in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may your love for God not go down in Jesus’ name.

Action Points

W: Ponder on areas of your life where you are being disobedient. Repent and ask God for grace to obey.

X: I decree and I declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
