“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”
Psalms 63:1 KJV
There is a right time to seek God and that time is early, as our text today reveals.
However, seeking God early goes beyond seeking Him early in the morning every day, to seeking His will early in your endeavours. This is seeking His wisdom before you begin anything. Some people only remember God when things have gone bad. They are set in their ways and only remember God when calamity strikes. This is not the will of God.
Like king David, we ought to seek Him early in everything that we do. The result of seeking God early is that, those that seek Him early would find Him (Proverbs 8:17). Seeking Him early shows you understand His place in your life and thus give Him the first place.
Therefore, make a habit of seeking God early in the morning. Create a quiet time to seek Him daily but much more, seek His will in everything that you do.
