SUBSTANCE VALIDATES YOUR HONOUR

Read in your own language

Isaiah 43:23a: Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices.

Our opening scripture clearly defines how God expects and desires to be honored, that is with our sacrifices. He could have demanded anything but He chose to ask for sacrifices and substance as a way to honor Him. This is buttressed further in Proverbs 3:9; Honour the LORD with thy substance and with the first fruits of all thine increase.

Are you wondering why God would be so emphatic and specifically mention sacrifices? Well, that is because it is easy to honor with our mouth/ lips. Professing how much we honor, adore, worship and reverence Him is good, but honor is more than a lip thing, it is a heart thing. As Jesus said in Matthew 15:8, These people honor me with their lips but their heart is far from me.

True honor stems from the heart and is backed with substance because we understand that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also (Matt 6:21). Therefore, if you truly and genuinely honor God, your heart will be towards His kingdom and your treasure or substance as well. The condition of your heart determines your place with God and also the placement of God in your life. So, check your heart right now to know where God is placed, is He in the first place? If he is, then show it in your actions and with your substance.

Prophecy 1:  Receive grace to give God a substantial honor in Jesus’ name.

Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you be endowed with unusual strength in Jesus’ name.
