SCRIPTURAL TEXT:
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light
Romans 13:12
One important thing that a warrior must never fail to put on each time he goes into battle is his armour. An armor is a tough defensive covering that is usually worn to protect the body in battle. Armours are mostly made from metals or tough materials. As believer however, our opening scripture shows us that our own armour is made up of light. How profound!
To this end, the scripture charges us to first cast off the works of darkness, then we can proceed to put on the armour of light, as darkness and light cannot be active at the same time. How then can one put on the armour of light? The next verses go on to show that when we walk in honesty; and not in rioting, chambering, wantonness, strife and envy, we put on the Armour of light. And the next verse further corroborates this stressing that when we put on Christ, we put on the Armor of light, which is able to both protect and supply the light we would require as believers on the battlefield.
So, are you already kitted with your Armour of light? As believers, we are saddled with the responsibility to ensure that we always have our armour on, so that we do not fall prey to the adversary. Let us therefore, be alert! Hallelujah!

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the privilege of a new day. I am especially grateful for the sacrifice of your Son Jesus on the cross for my redemption, and the privilege to walk with You day by day. I rededicate my life to you today, and declare my submission to Your Word and Your Will. I hereby cast off the works of darkness, and I put on the armour of Light, as I consecrate my body, soul and spirit to you today. Let me life bring you glory now and always. Amen.

PRAY FOR AUSTRALIA We are praying for a mighty outpour of God’s Spirit upon the land that many will encounter the Lord supernatural.
