WHY YOU MUST REVERE GOD
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:5
God deserves to be feared by all. He is like no other and your understanding of who He is will help you give Him the glory, honor and reverence that is due to Him. Who is God and why should you fear before Him? If you have ever asked these questions, below are some reasons why you must fear God.
HE IS SOVEREIGN: He is entirely independent and does what He likes. He is the only One who depends on nothing. No one else is independent. You can’t tell Him what you think is right or force Him to do what He doesn’t want to do. He is mighty in power and great (Psalm 135:6). HE IS THE ONLY WISE ONE: His understanding is infinite and unsearchable. His ways are past finding out (Romans 11:3).
HE IS THE ORIGINAL CREATOR: Nothing pre-exists Him. Everyone and everything draws its energy from Him. He made all things and He is before all things. (Isaiah 44:24).
HE IS THE SUPREME JUDGE: He rules in all spheres and determines all outcomes (Genesis 18:25). HE IS THE ONLY ETERNAL ONE: All life proceeds from Him. He determines who lives and who perishes. (Matthew 10:28)
Ponder on all these and give Him the reverence that is due to Him. Glory to God!
Prophecy 1: Receive grace to reverence the Lord as you should in Jesus name.
Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may the Glory of God rest on you in Jesus name.
