One of the reasons we have the written Word is to find the right words to say in every situation. In the beginning, the Bible says the earth was without form and void, and we see God speaking life into being. Here we are today in a world so beautifully formed and tastefully furnished by the Word of God.

The Word of God, being eternal and all-encompassing, addresses every aspect of life, in this physical realm and in the spiritual. Where there is scarcity, there is a word for abundance. Where there is a threat of failure or defeat, there is a sure word of victory. This is why our opening text tells us that when there is casting down around you, the word in your mouth should be that of a lifting up.

In the scriptures, there is a light to help you overcome every situation you may face. So, when you study, do not only study for information sake, but for revelation. Dig deeper into the Word to find gems that you would put in your mouth and sling against the enemy, just like David did.

When David was faced with Goliath for instance, he spoke the word, affirming the unassailable greatness in the name of God, not minding whatever Goliath had to say. He had a giant situation before him, but he overcame by faith ever before his slingshot released the smooth stone.

Therefore, whenever your situation is saying something to you that is not in line with what the Word says, you ought to also speak back at it, establishing the truth of God’s Word and thereby reining in the devil. That is how to put your faith in action and win each and every day.
